The State and the Power
Abstract: The aim of the course and 'to give some reflections on the history of power and status, from ancient Greece up to the totalitarian state through the theories of Machiavelli and Rousseau. The route is divided into two blocks: the first was the birth of the state and the origin of power. The second concerns the functioning of the state, the identification of three main forms of government and to end the totalitarian state, the tragic '900 invention, using the theory of the writer Hannah Arendt.
